Las Vegas Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival 2005
2005 was our fourth year at the Las Vegas Festival. When we arrived
to set up our encampment, we learned that we'd been moved from our space near
the main entrance to a new space beside a group that demonstrates black-powder
muskets and cannon. Given that some of the hounds aren't too keen on black powder,
we asked if there might be another space available, and were given our choice
of several. We chose one on the west side of the lake, in amongst the other
reenactment guilds and right on the main path around the lake. With guilds both
behind and in front of us, we were able to set up our encampment - and our main
pavilion - as a "walk-through" exhibit, giving us traffic from two
directions. The new space worked out even better than last year! We also got
to present our hunting demo in the main arena (Field of Honor) for the first
time at this festival; it proved quite popular.
